the difference...

we watch movies in class for english. i mean actual films for study! well, of course we assess and analyse them later on, but can u imagine spending at least 3 periods of english lessons watching a movie? pretty cool. but i have to say, i have an awesome english teacher, Mr. Nesbitt. he's hilarious, obssessed with movie quotes, but hilarious.

not to mention, a mock trial for legal studies. we're divided into 4 groups and given actual cases. a couple of ppl are chosen to represent barristers, solicitors, witnesses, and court officials. and we actually ran a court hearing. i was one of the barristers and i kicked ass. OBJECTION. the judge had to tell me to shut up.

studying history events such as the french revolution, John F.Kennedy assassination, amritsar massacre and Mahatma Ghandi. all these facts of the world that i had absolute no idea of.

learning about the Japanese culture and how it differs to our and western society. reading books as homework! i actually look forward to it.

and biology here is just plain easy here. HAH

u might be thinking at this very moment that studying here is easy-going, simple, and that the aussies are way dumber than all the asian freaks. but its a different concept altogether. its the system. the way of teaching. the exposure and involvement in class. lessons here are not one-way-conversations, not about the teacher looking superior at the front of the classroom. its about class discussion. presentating and expressing individual opinions. about enjoying our subjects. i wish so hard that the malaysian government could acquire such a system. school would be so much more fun. and we wouldn't all be so miserable.

one particular thing that is the same here, in malaysia, and i think everywhere else.........

MATHS. omfg. its hard anywhere u go. maths is just dreadfully the worst thing u'll ever come across. can i get an amen? 3-unit maths im doing. means add maths. there is simpler maths, but i WANT to do this maths. i WANT to succumb this predicament. i will persevere. i CAN do maths. sigh.

and happy mothers day, mom.

she's my drinking buddy. haha. miss and love her Alot.

i miss home. i miss my friends, mummy and daddy.
6 more weeks. and ill be back home.
counting down every second of it.

(everytime we say goodbye - Robbie Williams)

god, help my maths,
